Arsenal left in shock at the Estádio do Dragão as Porto stole a late winner as they head to the Emirates for the second leg.

The Gunners came into the game from a comfortable 5-0 victory over Burnley at the weekend and were brimming with confidence.

However, they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Porto in their UEFA Champions League first leg, with the pressure of getting a win at the Emirates now a must for Arteta’s men.

Porto made one enforced change to the side that beat Estrela 2-0 last weekend when Nigerian left-back, Zaidu Sanusi came off on a stretcher after suffering an ACL injury in that match and Wendell replaced him.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta stuck with the side that won 5-0 against Burnley during the weekend, while former Porto man Fabio Vieira returns and is on the bench after an injury lay-off.

The Gunners started the first half with more control in the game but failed to create any chances, with the home side having the better chance to get the first goal.

The second half continued in much the same way as the first half had gone, with Arteta’s men failing to utilise the spell of possession against Porto.

Porto continued to push for the first goal of the game, and found a breakthrough that came as a shocker in injury time from a long-range effort.

The London team has given the ball away and Galeno, who stole the ball took a few touches to set himself and then from range curled a truly wonderful finish on the right foot past Davide Raya at full stretch.
