In an impressive display, Remo Stars clinched a 2-0 victory against Kano Pillars, propelling them to the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) standings.
Sodiq Ismail and Franck Mawuena netted the crucial goals, securing all three points for the visitors.
With this win, Remo Stars now hold nine points from their opening three matches, establishing themselves as the team to beat in the league.
Meanwhile, Niger Tornadoes also celebrated a successful outing, overcoming Plateau United 2-1 in an away match, further shaking up the standings.
In contrasting fortunes, both Sunshine Stars and Heartland FC struggled to find the back of the net in front of their home fans. Sunshine Stars were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Abia Warriors, while Heartland endured a similar fate against visiting Katsina United, also finishing scoreless.
Under the management of Emmanuel Amuneke, Heartland remains winless after three rounds, raising concerns as they seek their first victory of the season.
