Sean Dyche set to replace sacked Frank Lampard as Everton manager

Everton have parted ways with Frank Lampard after a run of three wins in 20 league matches and just one place ahead of bottom-place Southampton.

The Toffees have failed to win any of their last eight matches and have managed to score only 15 goals in the Premier League.

The management of Everton Football Club have decided to terminate Lampard’s contract as a result of this. Sean Dyche is one of those who have been identified as a likely successor to the former Chelsea midfielder. Dyche was sacked as Burnley coach nine months ago after a 10-year spell in charge of the Clarets.

Former Newcastle United and Everton forward Duncan Ferguson is another man linked to the Everton job. The former Scotland international has had two spells as interim manager of Everton. He played 41 matches Newcastle United and scored 12 goals during his time there.

Frank Lampard was appointed as Everton manager on 31st January 2022 and led the club to a 16-place finish as they avoided relegation.
