Top football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal are currently leading the race to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, ahead of several top Premier League clubs.

Romano, speaking to DAZN Transfer, confirmed that Al Hilal are willing to activate Osimhen’s €75 million release clause and offer him a lucrative salary package, a figure that Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United may struggle to match.

“The last name we have to mention is Victor Osimhen, because the Saudi club needs a striker, and the Nigerian is a concrete target,” Romano said. “His release clause stands at €75 million. Now that he’s returned to Napoli following a loan spell at Galatasaray, Osimhen could become the new striker under Simone Inzaghi.”

Romano added that Al Hilal are expected to finalize documents with Inzaghi within the next 24 hours ; a sign of how swiftly the Saudi Pro League club is moving in the transfer market.

The renowned transfer insider also noted that while Osimhen is an ideal profile for the Premier League, with his speed, strength, and goal-scoring instincts with financial factors remain a major obstacle.

“For Saudi Arabia, a net salary of €12 million per season is affordable,” he explained. “But for Premier League clubs, it’s a significant hurdle. That’s why Al Hilal are emerging as clear favorites in this transfer saga.”

Victor Osimhen, one of Africa’s top scorers and a key figure in the Super Eagles setup, has long been linked with Premier League giants. Chelsea and Manchester United both pursued the striker in previous transfer windows, but Saudi Arabia’s financial muscle could now tip the scales.

This potential move could shake up the football rankings, as top players increasingly consider the Saudi Pro League over traditional European giants. Fans and analysts alike are now watching closely as the summer transfer window heats up.
