Barcelona facing difficulties in registering new signings and securing new contracts

Barcelona is currently facing challenges in registering their new signings and honoring contracts due to financial complications that have arisen.

Barcelona’s recurring financial troubles is making it difficult for them to register new signings, and to secure new contracts for existing players.

Last year, they made noteworthy signings like Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Jules Kounde, but struggled to offload unwanted players, including Frenkie de Jong who refused to leave.

This summer, the Catalan giants have made less high-profile signings such as Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez on free transfers.

Gundogan has a clause enabling him to leave for free if registration becomes impossible due to the club’s issues.

Recent reports reveal that two companies, Orpheus Media and Socios.com, who owe Barcelona a significant sum of money for purchasing shares in Barca Studios, have failed to pay their latest installments, leaving the club with a €60 million deficit.

Consequently, players like Gundogan, Martinez, potential signing Oriol Romeu, and current players who have signed new contracts such as Sergi Roberto, Ronald Araujo, and Marcos Alonso, cannot be registered at the moment.
