Carlo Ancelotti confident of regaining top spot after Osasuna draw

Ancelotti
Real Madrid lost top spot in La Liga following a draw with Osasuna, but Ancelotti believes his side will turn it around.

Real Madrid lost their 100% start to the season and saw top place slip from their hands to rivals Barcelona.

Vinicius Jr. continued his impressive start to the season by giving Real Madrid the lead, before Kike Garcia equalized shortly after half-time.

David Garcia was sent off in 78th minute, but Kareem Benzema failed to convert the resulting penalty.

Despite their best efforts towards the end of the match, they ultimately could not come up with a winning goal.

“The match has missed an intense rhythm. It wasn’t a good day, but we deserved to win”, as per reports from Marca.

“These are things that happen. We came from a very good streak and now we’re going to look for another one.

“When this team does not win, it’s never a happy time. A draw leaves us sad, but we are going to react soon.”

Real Madrid will face Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday as they edge closer to a round of 16 spot.
