Chelsea injury news: Potter reveals two injury concerns ahead of Milan match

Graham Potter has revealed that Edouard Mendy is available for selection but Kai Havertz and Jorginho are doubts for the crunch encounter.

Chelsea are yet to win in the UEFA Champions League this season, losing 1 – 0 to Dinamo Zagreb on matchday one, and drawing 1 – 1 with RB Salzburg on matchday two.

The duo of Havertz and Jorginho felt some discomfort after Chelsea’s 2 – 1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Potter also revealed that N’Golo Kante remains unavailable as he continues to make progress on his rehabilitation.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Potter said: ‘Edou has been training with the team the last few days so he will be in the squad which is good news for us because we need as much competition for places as possible.

‘Jorgi felt some discomfort against Crystal Palace but has trained today. We’ll see how he reacts to that. Kai had a slight feeling after Palace as well but was able to train today.

‘NG [Kante] is training more and more. He’s not training fully still but he’s getting closer. So that’s really positive.’

Milan are currently first in the Group E with four points from a possible six.
