Erling Haaland extends Manchester City’s incredible scoring streak

With his brace against Brighton, Erling Haaland increased his Premier League goal tally to 17 for the season and 22 overall.

The Norwegian entered the game with 20 goals in all competitions and 15 in the Premier League but managed to score twice in Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Brighton having failed to convert in the 1-0 loss to Liverpool last weekend.

The 22-year-old now has 17 Premier League goals in just 11 games, matching Tottenham’s Harry Kane’s total from last season – albeit in 26 fewer appearances than the England captain.

Haaland has also equalled Arsenal legend Thierry Henry’s Premier League tally in his first season in England – albeit in 26 fewer appearances than the Frenchman as well.

He has now scored 22 goals in all competitions this season, 14 of which have come at the Etihad, and he is on set to break a number of records.
