Fulham closing in on new deal for highly rated British-born Nigerian centre back

Despite interest from Premier League opponents, Fulham remains optimistic about extending the Nigerian central defender to a new contract.

Ballgist can exclusively report that Fulham remains confident of tying up a new deal for Nigerian central defender Tosin Adarabioyo, despite interest from Premier League rivals.

As of yet, Fulham and Tosin have not yet reached an agreement on a new deal, with roughly two months remaining before the expiration of his contract with the London club.

There is a certainty that Tosin has not completely dismissed the idea of extending his stay with the Cottagers, according to reports.

Tosin, who started his career at Manchester City before moving to the north side of the country, is reportedly still interested in playing regular football and hopes for an offer that meets his requirements before making his decision.

Fulham however, are preparing a new long-term deal for the 26-year-old and hopes to persuade him to stay with a significant increase in his wages.

Tosin has remained professional despite speculation surrounding his future with a string of excellent displays, helping the Craven Cottage outfit post three clean sheets in their last seven Premier League matches, all of which he started.

The likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have been in touch with the player’s camp to explore the possibility of signing him on a free transfer.

Since landing at Fulham from boyhood club Manchester City in 2020, Tosin has made 131 all-competition appearances, scoring five goals while producing two assists.
