Josko Gvardiol: “No release clause in contract”, reporter says

The 20-year-old Croatian defender currently enjoying time at the World Cup in Qatar has been revealed not to have a release clause in his contract.

Reports emerging from Florian Plettenberg, a reporter for Sky Sport is that there is no release clause in Josko Gvardiol’s contract, which is expected to run until 2027 at RB Leipzig.

The Croatian international who is heavily linked with a whole host of top European clubs has been suggested to leave the German side next summer, and at just 20-years-old, Gvardiol is one the world’s most exciting central defenders and certainly one to watch for the future.

As per the Plettenberg’s report, Gvardiol does not have a specific release clause in his contract until 2027, meaning Leipzig can pretty much name their price for the top talent.

In another adventure for the Croatian international, his agent and representative has also spoken on the need not to be in a rush with any offers for his player,

“We are not in a hurry,” Marjan Sisic said. “And I can make clear that there are no pre-agreements with any clubs.”

Clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Barcelona have all registered their interest in the youngster. If the player maintains his excellent form, it will only be a matter of time before he moves on to another team.
