As the winter transfer window draws near, reports have emerged that Manchester United has expressed an interest in Napoli and South Korean central defender Kim Min-jae following his outstanding performance at the World Cup.
The 26-year-old stunned many viewers at the World Cup and has now attracted interest from a host of top clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid.
He played an important role with his consistent displays within the back-line which has earned the Partinopei’s success this season, featuring in 14 of 15 games in the Serie A so far as well as the Champions League.
Nicknamed ‘The Monster’ due to his 6ft 3in physique, he remains crucial for manager Luciano Spaletti as he looks desperate to keep hold of his first choice centre-back and ultimately fend off interest from any club in January.
Manchester United is rumored to be searching for a backup defender to pair with Lisandro Martinez after concerns regarding Raphael Varane’s sporadic injuries have been raised.
