Match Preview: Barcelona vs Bayern Munich – Team News, Predicted XI

Barcelona's quest for knockout football in the UEFA Champions League is hanging on a balance.

The Catalans need to win their last two matches in hopes that results in other matches are favourable to them. However, their first test is against German champions Bayern Munich who have dominated Barca in recent years. The Bavarians have won each of their last five encounters with Barcelona scoring 19 goals in the process.

Barcelona are on the back of consecutive wins in the league after defeating Villareal and Athletic Bilbao 3 – 0 and 4 – 0 respectively. Xavi Hernandez will be hoping that his side’s recent home form helps their cause.

It remains to be seen if Barca’s home form will be enough as Bayern have only one of their last 28 Champions League games (22 wins, 5 draws). Although, that solitary loss came in Spain to Villareal (1 – 0 loss in April).

Barcelona Predicted XI:

Ter Stegen; Bellerin, Garcia, Kounde, Balde; Busquets, Pedri, De Jong; Raphinha, Dembele, Lewandowski

Bayern Munich Predicted XI:

Ulreich; Pavard, Upamecano, De Ligt, Davies; Kimmich, Goretzka; Coman, Musiala, Gnabry; Mane
