Ben White left England’s World Cup squad before their quarter-final loss to France and played for Arsenal against the Italian champions.
The win over AC Milan sealed Arsenal’s victory in the Dubai Super Cup as they step up preparations for the resumption of the Premier League.
Arteta said of White:
“Very pleased. Everybody has been giving him a lot of support and love. We know the reasons he had to leave the camp.
“We are delighted to have him back and he looked in really good shape. I’ve been having conversations with all the players at the World Cup.
“Not only with Ben but with all the players to try to give support when somebody needs it. We can’t control (stories and rumours).
“I know who Ben is, what he needs, what his character is and how happy we all are to have him at the club.”
Arsenal hosts West Ham at the Emirates on the 26th of December as they look to maintain their place at the top of the league.
