West Ham complete the signing of Danny Ings from Aston Villa for £15m

West Ham have agreed a fee with Aston Villa for striker Danny Ings, with the Hammers paying around £15 million for the England international.

Aston Villa forward, Danny Ings is set to join the London club from Villa in a deal worth £15m and will provide competition for Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio who have been out of form for the most part of the season.

David Moyes is a long-time admirer of Ings and has tried to sign the ex-Liverpool forward before while he was at Southampton.

The 30-year-old forward has also played in the Premier League for Burnley, Liverpool and Southampton.

West Ham have concerns over the form of Michail Antonio, who they are prepared to sell this window amid interest from rival Premier League clubs. The Hammers have also been negotiating with Lorient for Terem Moffi after being rejected by Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri early in the window.

West Ham have scored only 15 goals in 19 league games this season, with their goal-scoring form being a major factor in their Premier League struggles. They are 18th in the table, just ahead of Everton and Southampton on goal difference.

The Scottish Manager is at risk of a sack should Westham fail to beat Everton at home on Sunday.

Ings has scored 14 goals in 52 games for Villa since joining the club for £25m in the summer of 2021 from Southampton.
