The World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar, and England is among the favourites to lift the trophy on December 18. The hosts kick off the tournament against Ecuador at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor.
Gareth Southgate will name his provisional squad later this week. FIFA has set a deadline for teams to finalize their 26-man squads for Qatar.
Initially, England can name as many as 55 players which is up from 35.

Southgate is expected to announce his provisional World Cup squad on Thursday, October 20, before narrowing it down to the final 26-man squad at a later date. For the first time, the squad limit has been raised from 23 to 24.
