Alexis Mac Allister set to complete move to Liverpool on a five-year deal

Alexis Mac Allister is expected to complete his move to Liverpool in the coming days, with medicals set to be completed in 24/48h.

World Cup winner, Alexis Mac Allister has agreed to terms with Liverpool on a five-year contract valid until June, 2028, Fabrizio Romano confirms.

The 24-year-old has been in high demand thanks to his performances for the Seagulls and for Argentina after lifting the World Cup with his country last year in Qatar.

Liverpool would appear to have won the race for his signature, beating Manchester United and Chelsea to the midfielder who is reportedly keen to work with Jurgen Klopp.

The report states that the fee is somewhere between £45m and £61m, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claiming that it will be ‘way less than £60m’.

Speaking to Metro news UK, the midfielder hinted at his future, saying he remains calm whether the move materializes or not.

“I am very calm because I also have the possibility of being in a club like Brighton that accompanied me at all times and in which I really enjoy being,’ said Mac Allister, speaking to Miami-based Argentine news outlet Infobae when asked about his future.”

“If I do not have to leave the club I will continue to be very happy there, but I am aware that there are possibilities (to move) and if a good offer arrives for the club and for me we will evaluate it.”

“I have no doubts that (the Premier League) is the best league to play in and that is why I am aware that I would like my next club to be in the Premier. I really enjoy being there.”
