Man United suffer fresh injury blow with Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to be sidelined for up to two months

Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set for a period on the sidelines after sustaining an injury.

Manchester United and England right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to be sidelined for several weeks following an injury sustained during United’s 3-1 defeat against Brighton.

The 25-year-old had only come on in the 85th minute against the Seagulls starting the game from the bench after battling an illness during the week.

A club statement read, “Further assessment will be needed to determine how long Wan-Bissaka will be out for, but initial indications suggest it will be several weeks.”

However, a report in The Athletic claimed he would be missing for up to eight weeks.

Wan-Bissaka’s injury is the latest of worries for Manchester United and Eric Ten Hag as they prepare to travel to Germany for their first Champions League clash this season. The club’s list of injuries also includes Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Mason Mount, Tyrell Malacia and others.

United will now be grateful that they went out and signed Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham. The Spaniard and Diogo Dalot are the club’s only available natural full-backs.
