The Catalans were crowned La Liga champions for the first time since the 2018-2019 season, following an impressive 4 – 2 win over Espanyol on Sunday night.
As the celebrations were ongoing on the field and in the dressing room, a couple of familiar names decided to join via video link. Popular Spanish journalist, Gerard Romero joined the call alongside former Barcelona forwards Messi and Neymar.
Former Arsenal and Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also expressed his pleasure by liking a social media post.
Messi continues to be linked with a return to Barcelona, as his time at the France capital nears its end.
Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are second and third respectively in La Liga and the fourth UEFA Champions League place is occupied by Real Soceidad at the moment.
