Antonio gives update on Dejan Kulusevski’s injury

Antonio Conte has given a green light for the return of Swedish international attacker, Dejan Kulusevski ahead of Everton's clash.

Tottenham’s head coach, Antonio Conte has given an update on the injury concern of star player Dejan Kulusevski ahead of the weekend match against Everton in the Premier League.

The Swedish international may be eligible to play in the upcoming home encounter against Merseysiders Everton, the Spurs manager suggested in a post-game interview with BT Sport.

“For sure, on Saturday, we have Kulusevski. Probably he’ll be available for the game. For us, this is really good news because to have an important option on the bench for us, is vital.” he was quoted saying.

Spurs’ encounter against Frankfurt ended in a far more suspenseful manner than it should have because the home team missed several opportunities to put the game to bed.

The Germans, who were reduced to ten men, pulled one back from a corner late in the game to set up a nervy finish.

However, overall, there were plenty of positives to come out of Wednesday’s match, with the win taking “The Lilywhites” to the top of Group D.

In addition, Lucas Moura also returned to action for the first time since Tottenham’s 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge in August, with the Brazilian getting a few minutes of action under his belt after replacing Son Heung-min on 86 minutes.

The Italian manager will be hopeful that Kulusevski’s return might rekindle the fire they had last season as they prepare to face several challenges from other elite clubs in the Premier League or European competition.
